Here are some photos from our apartment in the 13th. It's close to Rue Tolbiac and the Olympiades métro stop is literally right outside. This is nice because I can take line 14, the fastest and arguably best métro line in Paris, straight to St. Lazare in under 15 minutes and then jump on a train to my lycée in La Celle St. Cloud. Across the street from us is the Clinique Jeanne d'Arc, a maternity clinic. I have heard the cries of more than one screaming women in labor. It's a bit frightening. We have several grocery stores near us, most of which are cheaper than average since this area has several universities, aka many students, and, incidentally, project housing. I love the cereal Jordan's Country Crisp, which has large morsels of granola with strips of dark chocolate. And of course nothing can beat a pastry or some macarons from Ladurée, which is a reason to come to Paris in and of itself.
